I have been following sota clothing on their Instagram for over six months. Everytime they post a picture of people wearing, using, and experiencing their brand all over the state, I feel so happy inside. Maybe it’s the way the graphic element of their design plays with the Minnesota landscape. Maybe it’s how good beer looks in one of their pint glasses.
I do know, I have been craving an adventure for some time. My zest for running and the outdoors really took off when I ran the Ragnar Great River Relay. Now, I just want to go, and do, and prove to myself how alive I really am.
I feel sota appeals to those who are always on the hunt for an adventure. Even if it’s to the depths of their backyard, taking a run on an unfamiliar Minnesota trail, or having too many beers with friends at a local bar.
Sota clothing is just one small reminder of how awesome it is to be exactly where we are. If at any moment we feel discontentment or the unknown calls to us, we should do our best to seek out a new undertaking.
So, I bought a t-shirt. It’s perfect. This design was created by Mike Greenwell, of Greenwell Graphics, in collaboration with sota. It’s soft and fits right, and I love it. When I wear it, it will remind me that I stand for the here and now. Yet, even if I feel close to home, always remember to also embrace the adventure.
About sota clothing:
The initial idea for sota clothing began while Spencer Johnson was pursuing his Graphic Design Degree at the University of Minnesota Duluth. While Johnson is an avid travel enthusiast, his passion for his home state of Minnesota continually grows and it always brings him back to her shores. He draws his inspiration for his designs from the people he grew up with as well as those he meets traveling who maintain values that speak to sota clothing.
